ALLISON HUANG

WHO IS THAT GIRL I SEE
Hi, I'm Ali Huang, the knockoff version of Ali Wong; except I don't really go by Ali because it's imperative that people know I bring the "sun" to Allison🌞; plus, my last name means "yellow" in Mandarin, so it’s only fitting. Like my brand name counterpart, we are not your average, passive, dainty Asian gals. Going from engineering, to computer science, to hospitality, it was inevitable that I would land back to my first dream I've had since I held my first camera when I was 5.
Becoming a famous YouTuber at age 11 with 100 subscribers, an F-lister if you will, I learned to write, act, edit, produce, and wear every hat in between to create iconic content in the Golden Age of YouTube. A decade later, I made my return to YouTube, then dared to enter the void of TikTok. In the span of 5 months, I made 500,000+ besties on the internet by dancing like those inflatable tube men outside of car washes, aka: raw talent.
It's about time we see more Asian-Americans not only on the screen, but LEADING the screen! It took me long enough to fight societal judgement, tradition, familial disappointment, etc. to pluck up the courage and finally pursue my passions. My love for storytelling goes back to my fetus days, I’m pretty sure I was telling my mom bedtime stories in the fetus to put her to sleep. It’s time we see more stories from women and people of color which can only be done by writing our own stories. Catch me behind or in front of the camera, locked in a room furiously writing, dancing or singing in the bathroom… wherever you find me, I can guarantee it’ll be a good time. It’s time to really show Hollywood that not all of us Asians are straight-A, engineer/computer/doctor/lawyer introverts.
Just don't tell our parents.
